Tournament info
REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR INDIVIDUALS! We are still accepting individual student competitors! To register, scan documents above back in to [email protected]. To pay the registration fee online go to the SUPPORT page and click the donate button.
Team Fee: $150/4 ( divided into 4 students, $35 each) Individual Students : $50
RULES & REGULATIONS
High School Students ages 14-18 are eligible for LTAB Greensboro
Participants must represent a high school or community center
Students must be full time in middle school, high school, middle college, or prep school in good standing.
Poetry teams consist of 4-5 students.
12 individual students total are allowed to compete and represent a school or organization.
Teams/Indies have 3 minutes and 10 sec to present an original poem without any props, music, or costumes.
Teams must perform a minimum of 1 group and a minimum of 3 individual poems.
Poems are judged by 5 random audience members, and scored from 0-10 points.
The four teams with the highest scores advance to the finals to award the winner.

ACTIVITIES
The creators of Louder Than a Bomb Poetry Festival: The founders of LTAB - Young Chicago Authors will lead a workshop, host , and perform during LTAB GSO!
Noted authors and scholars, such as Dasan Ahanu, Bluz of Charlotte, Zelda Lockhart and more will come from around NC/DMV will teach educational workshops open to participants and the community.
Workshops and side events will be held throughout the 3-day festival to
strengthen oral and literary skills. Side events also give students not participating in the festival a chance to be apart of the experience.
Tournament Schedule
LTAB GSO take place in the UNCGreensboro Elliot University Center
Union throughout various conference rooms on the main level. Building signage and tournament program will have specifics.
